Crosss are fast rising up many peoples “favorite band” lists, sounding like Sabbath at their most mystical and bringing some virtuosity to their musicianship. Their forthcoming LP is set to be a game changer, but the split cassette they did this year with I Smell Blood on Hamilton’s Perdu label offered a turn from the dark to the pitch black, a bubbling caldron of creeping doom metal magyk.
